A Demi-Pointe shoe is really useful for a number of reasons;
It helps to improve strength in both the foot(intrinsic) muscles and also the ankle muscles
It is really useful to help the foot understand how to work in a confined space.
It helps the dancer to get used to working in a shoe that has a “lip” on the sole of the shoe.
